I imagine he didn't take that very well. He seems to be very... adverse, to intimate contact. I believe that can be changed if he's given enough opportunities.

I don't know. He hates me, deep down I think, Wing. I knew him before I ever met you. Back in Rodion. I was just gutter trash then, and he saved my life. Gave me a chance, told me to clean myself up. What did I do? I went out and became a murderer.

I don't know if he'll ever forgive me.

[And he does wait. He can't bring himself to sit down, so instead he leans against the wall opposite of the door. There's something important that he needs to do and say.]

[ Eventually, Drift drags himself home, slinking through the door. He has a feeling he's going to be in trouble. ]

Wing?

[Wing is on him the moment the door closes. Drift is pulled into a fierce hug, which, after a moment, turns into a kiss. It's brief, but he tries to convey a lot of unspoken things between them in that moment.

Unspoken things that need to be said. It's probably best to do it now.]

[ Well that's not what he expected. He's not going to complain though, as he presses into the kiss before it breaks. ]

[ Oh. Now isn't the time to get bashful. ]

How could I forget? I love you too.

And I want you to be happy. You and Ratchet. Because you both deserve it, and I believe you can find happiness with each other.

[He fondly touches the side of Drift's face; a sad smile tugging at his lips.]

What you two have in common is that you both need to forgive yourselves. We can't change the past, and you're not the person you once were. Have I told you how proud of you I am? The amount of strength it took for you to become the person you are now is staggering. But I always knew you had it in you.

I hope that someday you will love yourself as much as I love you.

[ Uhg. Strong face, strong face! He shuts his eyes so the light doesn't streak and give him away. The swordsmech ducks his head and leans into Wing. ]

You make it sound so easy. I missed you so much. I wish you knew how much I thought about you. I hope... we get to stay here. So we can be together.
